Biography
Voted most talented in his senior class, Trevor was cast in every play produced by his high-school drama department and in several productions at the University of South Florida in Tampa, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a minor in Theatre Performance. He also acted outside of school, taking jobs in commercials, TV, film, and local professional theatres. At one time, Trevor wanted to “make it big” as an actor; however, the Lord had different plans. While still in high school, Trevor seriously concentrated on a career as an actor and entertainer. After making trips to church youth camps, he then realized that Christian drama could be used for much more than Christmas and Easter musicals. He saw it as a powerful tool for ministry and evangelism. “Theatre is more popular than ever,” Trevor says. “People are communicated to through the arts.
If you’re doing something interesting and visual people are captivated .” In 1991, at the age of 18, he began traveling and performing at churches and events. A year later, after much prayer and counseling, Trevor surrendered to the call of full-time ministry. At each appearance, Trevor cleverly combines music, monologues, poems, sketches, and mime with humor and sincerity, which makes for an unforgettable worship experience for the believer and a picture of salvation for the lost.
“If a person doesn’t know the Lord, if there’s something we can do to point them toward Jesus, that’s what we’re all about,” he says. “The shed blood of Jesus is the only hope for man’s salvation.” Now known throughout the country as “Mr. Drama”, Trevor makes approximately 180 appearances a year. He also conducts drama workshops and seminars at churches and national and state drama festivals where he teaches the basics of acting and directing. “My dreams are fulfilled. As a working actor and entertainer, I get to do all that I’ve ever known how to do, and serve my Savior while doing it.
