We would like to encourage anyone who is not attending Sunday School to consider joining one of the classes listed below. We are blessed at Friendly Baptist Church with knowledgeable teachers who are willing to put their time and effort into preparing lessons each week. Sunday School offers you a chance to get to know other members on a more personal level.
Adult Sunday School Classes
Chosen Few Sunday School Class (David Spencer, teacher):
This class is for all ages of people who like to study the Bible and explore its relevance for today. The material used for study and discussion is the adult “Explore the Bible” series published by Lifeway.
The Biblical Answers Class (Don Pleima and Dennis Carroll, teachers):
The Biblical Answers Sunday School Class is designed to confirm what we know of God through His infallible and inerrant Word and that it has the only message that can lead us to eternal life. Over the course of about four years, this class will go through the entire Bible starting with key foundational doctrines and followed by studies from the first chapter of the book of Genesis and ending with the final chapter of the book of Revelation. The Sunday School curriculum used in this class is published by Answers In Genesis. All ages, male and female, are welcome to attend this class.
Son-Shine Singles (Nona Robertson, teacher):
The Son-shine Singles class is for single adults. The material used for this class is published by Lifeway. The Son-shine Singles also have lunch together each Sunday afternoon at various restaurants in Branson and enjoy a time of fun and fellowship together.
Children’s Sunday School (Lorraine Hill, teacher)
K-Grade 6
Life Bible Adventure (Pastor Fred King teacher)
Young Adults
Uses the “Navigator’s Topical Memory System”
to help memorize and meditate on scripture. We will focus on:
Living a new life
Proclaiming Christ
Relying on God’s resources
Being Christ’s disciple
Growing in Christ’s likeness
Prospective Members Class (Pastor Dunn, teacher)
This is a newcomer’s class that Pastor Dunn teaches periodically, in which he welcomes those who are new to our church. He covers beliefs of our church and has a question and answer time. This is a great opportunity to get to know our pastor on a more personal level and learn more about Friendly Baptist Church. Our weekly bulletin announces scheduled classes.
Monday Night Bible Study
(Dan Petersen Leader)
Meets at the Petersen home
149 South Drive, Branson
End Times Study begins September 11.
The book of Revelation will be at the center of this study,
but we will draw heavily on the books of the prophets,
the historical books of the Bible, as well as the
New Testament. Secular history and ancient Jewish
writing will be used where they can add clarify to an event.
A lite dinner will be provided at 5:30 P.M. before class.
