Monty serves as the senior pastor of Friendly Baptist Church.  He has been the director of Be Thou My Vision Ministries, Chairman of the MBC Administrative Committee, President of MBC Pastor’s Conference and President of MO Southern Baptist Conservatives.  He grew up in Branson as part of a family in the hotel industry.  Monty is a graduate of SW Baptist University and Luther Rice Seminary.  His passion is shepherding his family first, followed by the blessing of being a pastor, preaching the Word and shepherding the body of Christ at Friendly. He and his wife Marilyn are the parents of five children: Gideon, Lydia, Ethan, Bethany and Abigail. When he isn’t in his study, he loves fishing, hiking with his family, quiet talks and reading a good book.
