Lloyd Durré portrayed the Old Shepherd in Harold Bell Wright’s ‘Shepherd of the Hills’ in the Branson area when he wasn’t teaching art and other subjects at the Branson high school.
He was dearly beloved by students and guests to the area alike.
Besides being an artist, Durré was also an author. He wrote the novels ‘Created of One Blood’ as well as ‘The Clinch Hollow Story’.
Below are 13 original paintings by Durré that have been donated to Friendly Baptist Church by the Durré family.
